Calculator Use

Graphing, scientificand multi-function computers are allowed or offered for certain tests. (r) tests. Unless it is specifically declared that a particular calculator is allowed in a particular test Calculators are not allowed to be utilized.

Test takers aren't allowed to share calculators.

Tests That Do Not Permit Use of a Calculator

In generally, unless explicitly stated that a certain kind of calculator is allowed or is required for a particular test, calculators cannot be used for every Practice test.

Tests That Permit the Use of a Calculator

You may use a quadruple or scientific calculator to pass test. Middle School: Content Knowledge (5146) test, even though you are not required to use it. Bring your own calculator to the test center. It is not allowed in the test center. A graphing calculator cannot be permitted during this test.

Types of CalculatorsThat Are Not Permitted

The following are not permitted to be used on Praxis Praxis

  • Laptops and portable computers
  • Electronic writing pads
  • Models with pen-input/stylus/touch-screen capability
  • Calculators are available on all phones or watches as well as other electronic devices
  • Models with QWERTY along with other alphabetic keypads as part of software or hardware
  • Printing models
  • Models that create noise or "talk"
  • Modells which require an outlet
  • Models that connect to the internet, or have either wireless, or Bluetooth (r) capability.
  • Models that include a camera, scanning capability or players that record digital audio or video

Furthermore, the use of any hardware peripheral is not allowed.

Tests That Provide an On-screen Calculator

Calculators from test takers' own calculators aren't allowed for Praxis examinations that have calculators with on-screen displays.
